Our Mission
SADD's mission is to provide students with the best prevention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, other drug use, risky and impaired driving, and other destructive decisions.
Originally, the mission of the SADD chapter was to help young people say "No" to drinking and driving. Today, the mission has expanded. Students have told us that positive peer pressure, role modeling and environmental strategies can prevent other destructive decisions and set a healthier, safer course for their lives. And that is why SADD has become a peer-to-peer education, prevention, and activism organization dedicated to preventing destructive decisions, particularly underage drinking, other drug use, risky and impaired driving, teen violence, and teen suicide.
This new coalition was formed to improve students knowledge on alcohol use and how it can hinder brain development. We hope to educate and decrease the underage drinking levels in our parish, so that our children can grow and obtain the best knowledge possible.
According to our 2016 CCYS Data, 79.2% of our 12th grade students reported they were able to obtain alcohol from someone over 21. We had 51.7% of 6th graders also obtain alcohol from someone over 21 as well. As a parish, we should strive to provide our children and students with the resources to understand how dangerous alcohol can be to the mind and body. We would love your support in helping our coalition grow to reach as many parish members as possible.

Coalition
Our coalition is a group of dedicated individuals that want to help fulfill our mission of helping the community understand the dangers of underage alcohol use. We meet once a month to discuss our efforts. Please contact us if you would like to attend a meeting. Our meeting dates are listed below.
